Key tasks for alternatives evaluation and environmental review will be completed in about a year. Formal public hearings will be held in summer 2011 to solicit comments on the draft environmental impact statement. This coincides with a target of September 2011 for submittal of the project in the annual Federal Transit Administration New Starts application process. A final environmental impact statement is scheduled for completion in 2012. The final decision made by the Federal Transit Administration (the Record of Decision) is anticipated to be completed in fall 2012.
