INDIANAPOLIS—Indy Connect, Central Indiana’s Transportation Initiative, will continue its series of public meetings next week to get feedback from members of the community on a draft regional
transportation plan. Residents and other local stakeholders will have the opportunity to speak with transportation experts about the draft regional plan and provide input and suggestions for improvement.
Planners will give an update on an environmental study taking place in the Northeast Corridor during Wednesday’s meeting at the Hamilton County Government Center in Noblesville. The corridor from Indianapolis to Noblesville was identified by the Indianapolis Regional Transportation Council more than 10 years ago as a potential first leg of a transportation system due to population growth and traffic
patterns. Planners are currently studying various alternatives for the corridor, as well as identifying all environmental, social, and economic impacts.
