I just moved to the near east side and for the next couple of months my 18 year old will be taking the bus to Ivy Tech’s main campus. Then he will be moving to the Avon area and will have to get to campus from there for the rest of the semester. He has checked out the routes and knows which buses he needs and what stops he will use. Because he doesn’t have a job yet and his classes are in the middle of the day this will work for him. I am aware of the pros and cons of relying on public transportation and I hope that the planned improvements increase opportunities for education and employment for my son and all of our sons and daughters learning to be independent in
our beautiful city.
