Local Bus

Invest in frequent, all-day local bus service

The bus system will provide residents more service, with less wait time between buses and longer hours of service, plus more direct routes than today's bus system. Residents will have more access to jobs, healthcare, education and shopping.

More Service

  • High frequency corridors with service every 15 minutes
  • Improved frequency across the bus system with most routes running every 30 minutes
  • Easier transfers with new passenger facilities like transit centers and bus shelters
  • Buses running until midnight on weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends
  • Seven-day-a-week service on every route

Regional Connections

  • New local buses would run in Lawrence, Fishers, Noblesville, and Carmel. Connections with rapid transit lines and frequent local bus lines will offer new access to destinations across the region

More Conveniences

  • Real-time route information via text messaging and/or displays at bus shelters so you know when the next bus will arrive
  • Additional bus shelters, benches and bike racks
  • Cashless ticketing, like tap cards and mobile phone payments
